American actress Michele Boyd started out pursuing a career in science before turning to performing. Utilizing her degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from UC Davis, she hosted the morbidly popular show Machines of Malice on the Discovery Channel and has since primarily found roles on television including Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother, Sons of Anarchy, Workaholics, Two and a Half Men and many others. She also recently starred in the SyFy adaptation of 3 Musketeers as well as the indie film Bar America.
In 2010, Michele co-created Team Unicorn, a fearsome foursome of girl geeks who produce and star in various shorts and musical numbers on YouTube. Their first video “Geek and Gamer Girls,” a music video parody of Katy Perry’s “California Gurls,” went viral in less than a week and won “Best Online Video” from LA Weekly. They continue to release videos through their YouTube Channel.
Michele has been lucky enough to extend her avid video game playing into her acting roles as well. She appeared in two seasons of Felicia Day’s hit webseries The Guild as the video-game obsessed antagonist Riley (‘Stupid Tall Hot Girl’), cohosted the video game themed show GameChangers through Stage 5 TV and starred in Geek Cred, a workplace comedy set at a comic book store. She blushingly admits she was named GeekWeek’s “10 Hottest Geek Girls” and gleefully admits she’s referenced in the popular video game Diablo III as a rare unicorn character named “Miss Hell.” She currently cohosts a Game of Thrones aftershow called Watching Thrones on ScreenJunkies.com
