American actress Michele Boyd started out pursuing a career in science before turning to performing. Utilizing her degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from UC Davis, she hosted the morbidly popular show Machines of Malice on the Discovery Channel before taking on more traditional acting jobs on shows such as Young and the Restless, Sons of Anarchy, FlashForward and How I Met Your Mother. She most recently appeared as a guest star on the Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush as well as helicopter pilot Jean Hendricks in the SyFy film ‘Battle of Los Angeles.”
Boyd is most well known for her work in the web world, appearing as the video-game obsessed antagonist Riley (‘Stupid Tall Hot Girl’) on Felicia Day’s webseries The Guild. She has also appeared in recurring roles in Solo the Series and Zimm.
Most recently Boyd co-created Team Unicorn, a fearsome foursome of girl geeks who produce and star in various shorts and musical numbers on YouTube. Their “Geek and Gamer Girls” music video parody of Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” went viral in less than a week and recently won “Best Online Video” from LA Weekly. They continue to put out hilarious shorts on their YouTube channel http://youtube.com/teamunicornftw.
